Artist Bio
Alicia Parker-Vault is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores memory, belonging, and the lived experiences of home and family. Working across drawing, printmaking, ceramics, and painting, she uses observation and personal archives to reflect on heritage, identity, and resilience. Influenced by LaToya Hobbs, Carrie Mae Weems, and Faith Ringgold, her practice connects personal narrative to a broader tradition of Black visual storytelling.
Originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, and now based in Virginia, her perspective is shaped by motherhood, community, and years spent living abroad. She is pursuing a Studio Arts degree with a Pre-Art Therapy specialization at Tidewater Community College. Her work has received regional recognition, including Best in Show and 2nd place in the Emerging Artist Exhibitions at the Stockley Gardens Arts Festival.
